Counterfeiter

The Devil is the great counterfeiter. Everything pertaining to the Lord, the Devil tries to make a counterfeit copy.

Counterfeit Trinity
The Trinity, not named as such but described in the Bible, is composed of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Devil, the great counterfeiter, has planned his own version of the Trinity. His trinity is composed of himself, the beast from the sea and the beast from the land as found in the Revelation chapter thirteen.

Counterfeit Ancestry
How blessed Christians are to be considered children of God, to be part of the Lord’s family.

King Merovee, who lived in the 5th Century, was a king of the Franks, in the land we know as France and he claimed to be of the Holy bloodline of Jesus. He and his descendants claimed a unique cross-shaped birthmark on their chest over their heart. The legendary Merovingian birthmark (a rose-colored cross) is the basis for the name of the Rosicrucians. (Rosicrucians, or “rose cross.”) The Knights Templar also wore a red cross on their tunics over their armor.

The purpose of both of these organizations was the protection and furtherance of the Merovingian dynasty. Why? Because of the further, blasphemous claim that King Merovee was descended from Jesus and Mary Magdalene, therefore claiming that he was of the Holy bloodline. This was a blasphemous, counterfeit ancestry.

Counterfeit Astronomy
While Adam was given the privilege of naming the animals, the Lord named the stars (Psalms 147:4, Isaiah 40:26, Genesis 1:14). In astrology, Aries is the first sign and Pisces is the last. But astrology is a counterfeit, and opens doors to the occult realm. In reality Virgo is the first sign and Leo is the last. This is how the Lord laid out the story. The Story in the Stars has nothing to do with events of your life as claimed by astrologists, and everything to do with Salvation.

Counterfeit New Jerusalem
The Holy City, the New Jerusalem is described in the Revelation 21:16. Its length, width and height are all the same, 12,000 furlongs. By today’s definition, that would be 1,500 miles. It is assumed that the city is a cube, but it is possible that it is a pyramid! If this is so, it would explain all of the pagan pyramids found around the world. Those who worshipped the Devil were possibly led to create a counterfeit of something found in Heaven.

Counterfeit Signs
In Acts chapter eight, Philip the deacon performed miraculous signs through the power of the Holy Spirit. A man called Simon was fascinated with what he saw. When Peter and John came to the city, Simon offered them money for the gift of the Holy Spirit. He was known as a sorcerer and apparently did not want to bring glory to God, but rather for himself. He was a false prophet. A counterfeit.

Conclusion
If I am correct in believing that spiritual activity will increase as the Last Day draws nearer, then we must beware of false prophets. Even today there are many claiming to be prophets. Time will tell if their prophecy is correct. But do not be deceived. There will be Satanic counterfeiters. Pray for discernment of spirits. (First Corinthians 12:10) Beware!

Even so, come quickly Lord Jesus!
