You must approach this lesson with the knowledge that Satan is the great counterfeiter. He appears as an “angel of light”, but he is a deceiver. Satan’s New Age followers are being prepared with an explanation for the great event to which the Church is looking forward, the Rapture (harpazo, Strong’s G726), or sudden removal of all Christian souls from the earth. Of course, there is nothing new about “New Age”; it is the same old demonic spirit worship the Lord spoke against in Leviticus 19:26 and 31.

There are two explanations offered for the sudden disappearance of millions of people. One variation is the removal of those people who do not agree with the New Age (perhaps Christians?).

Barbara Marciniak in Bringers of the Dawn says, “The people who leave the planet during the time of Earth changes do not fit in here any longer, and they are stopping the harmony of Earth.” She adds, “There is the potential for many people to leave the planet in an afternoon.”

Johanna Michaelson is a Christian Sister who was once a New Ager. She writes in Like Lambs to the Slaughter: Your Child and the Occult “. . Asher, the spirit guide of John Randolph Price told him that two billion people who didn't go along with the New Age would be wiped off the face of the Earth during the coming cleansing.”

The other variation of the Satanic myth is that a physical problem with the earth will cause the evacuation of millions of New Agers.

Channeler Thelma Terrell, who goes by her spiritual name, “Tuella,” wrote in Project World Evacuation “We watch diligently (for) the threat of a polar shift for the planet in your generation. Such a development would create a planetary situation through which none could survive. This would necessitate an evacuation such as I have referred to.” She adds, “The Great Evacuation will come upon the world very suddenly. The flash of emergency events will be as a lightning that flashes in the sky. So suddenly and so quick in its happening that it is over almost before you are aware of its presence . .”

Well, she got that right. See First Corinthians 15:52.

New Age author Kay Wheeler (known by her spiritual name, Ozmana), published an article “The Time Is Now,” in Connecting Link Magazine (Spring 1994). She wrote, “Much of this is necessary. Many of these beings have appointments to leave at this time. Earth's population needs to be decreased to bring forth the necessary changes upon this planet to move into the fourth dimension.”

While the New Age message is not directed toward or received by Christians, it is evident that Satan is preparing his followers for some great event in the future, which I assume to be the “snatching away” (Greek - harpazo) of the Church. The groundwork has been laid. The Satanic explanation for the sudden disappearance of millions of people has been given.
