There are several Biblical references to the fall of Satan. The Lord Jesus, after the joyous return of the seventy-two, said, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.” (Luke 10:18) In the Revelation 9:1 a star, sometimes indicative of an angel, is seen falling from Heaven and was given the key to the Abyss. This “star” then released the demonic entities imprisoned in the Abyss. This was not an angel of God, but a fallen angel. I think it is Satan.
In the Revelation 12:9 John sees Satan, described as the Dragon, being cast out of Heaven along with his other fallen angels. To make certain that we know who he is talking about, John describes him three ways; the “serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan.”
Holy Scripture describes Satan as a star. Occultists, who worship Satan as a bright, shining angel, also connect Satan with Venus. The planet Venus is known to occultists as Phosphorus and Lucifer, the latter name meaning “light bearer.” In the King James Version and the New King James Version of Isaiah 14:12, Satan is called Lucifer.
So we see that the Bible calls Satan Lucifer, and we see how the world makes a direct connection between Satan and the planet Venus. The reason Occultists connect Satan and Venus is because in the cycles of its orbit around the Sun, Venus forms a pentagram. The pentagram, a five-sided star, is one of the most common symbols of Satan and Satan worshipers.
As Venus moves through its orbit, there are superior and inferior conjunctions with the Sun. These conjunctions, which require five complete cycles to complete, take only slightly less than eight years to form the pentagram. They have been occurring for millennia.
Venus is a picture of Hell. The surface temperature of Venus is hot enough to melt lead, and the atmosphere is sulfurous. The earth and all other planets in the solar system rotate toward the east. Venus rotates in the opposite direction. Confirming the occult connection are the names Venus, goddess of love, is known by; Astarte, Ishtar, Ashera, all fertility goddesses.
A word of warning; Satan disguises himself as a bright angel. People who have had “after death experiences” frequently speak of seeing a person dressed in shining white that they think is Jesus. This person tells them that everything is alright; they do not have to make changes in their lives. This person does not admonish them to honor God, as Jesus would. I think this person dressed in white is Satan. The Apostle Paul said, “For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light.” (Second Corinthians 11:14)
However the Day is approaching, and perhaps quickly, when Satan the deceiver will be locked in the Abyss for a thousand years, to deceive mankind no more (except for a brief time at the end of the Millennium). I pray that those deceived by Satan, or Lucifer, will see the deception and ask the Lord Jesus for Forgiveness and Salvation. May His name be praised forever!
