The Holy Bible is so much more than a collection of miscellaneous stories written by random authors. It is the inspired Word of God, and it is symmetrical. What is opened in Genesis is closed in the Revelation.

Satan deceived Eve and the “Fall of Man” is recorded in Genesis chapter 3. Was the Lord surprised? Of course not. He has a plan which culminates with the flinging of Satan into the lake of fire in the Revelation chapter 20. At the recording of the Fall of Man is found the prophecy of the Messiah crushing the head of the serpent, or Satan. (Genesis 3:15)

Many milestone events occur between Genesis chapters 6 and 11. The first attempt of Satan to stop the Messiah by polluting His genetics occurs when fallen angels “marry” human women. (Genesis 6:2-4) Their progeny were the Nephilim, or “fallen ones,” giants in some translations. But Noah’s genes, or generations, were found to be perfect. The resulting destruction of life on the earth parallels the final destruction promised in the New Testament and completed in the Revelation. After the Flood mankind began again through the descendants of Noah.

The Lord gave man permission to eat meat after the Flood. After the Flood the animals would fear man. (Genesis 9:2-4) Prior to the Flood man and animals ate no meat. (Genesis 1:30) Symmetry is shown by the Prophet Isaiah who tells us that in the Millennial Kingdom the animals will again live in harmony and the “lion will eat straw like the ox.” (Isaiah 11:6-9)

The Lord’s intent was for every man to sit under his own vine and under his own fig tree, with no one to make them afraid (Micah 4:4). God’s Plan was a theocracy with God as king, but Nimrod challenged that. The first mention of a worldly kingdom is found in the description of Nimrod. (Genesis 10:10) It was Nimrod, his wife Semiramis, and his son Tammuz, who began the Babylonian Mystery Religions. Almost all pagan religions can be traced back to Nimrod, Semiramis and Tammuz. The reversing of this usurping of God’s Plan is shown when Mystery Babylon is destroyed in the Revelation chapter 18.

The final piece of symmetry that I would like to discuss is the genetic modification introduced in Genesis chapter 6. The Lord Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.” (Matthew 24:37) How was it in the days of Noah? Man was so wicked that the Lord grieved He had made man. (Genesis 6:6) And because of the giants, we know there was genetic manipulation occurring.

I cannot compare the wickedness of our day with the days of Noah, but I do know that the Lord is not honored in our current society. Our “leaders” are doing everything they can to remove the name of the Lord from our remembrance. And our nation and many others are rushing headlong into human genetic modification. This “scientific endeavor” is described as the “new arms race” as each country attempts to create a “super-soldier.” The world seeks to improve on the Lord’s design of human beings, as it was in the days of Noah.

All these issues point to the symmetric design of the Bible. What is opened in Genesis is closed and resolved in the Revelation. Are we approaching the close? Even so, come Lord Jesus!
